I had an amazing stay at Clouds Estate, with stunning views and warm hospitality from the staff. While the dining options were nice, some aspects could improve, particularly the breakfast selections. Overall, the location was perfect for exploring the winelands, and I felt relaxed and well taken care of during my visit.

My villa had beautiful views across the vineyards and was spacious and clean. It was very comfortable, though I did miss having a dressing table for getting ready.
Service

The front office staff were incredibly friendly and took care of all our inquiries. However, some staff were less attentive during meal times, which was disappointing.
Location

The location was absolutely picturesque, right in front of the Stellenbosch mountains. I appreciated how convenient it was for accessing both Stellenbosch and Franschhoek's wineries and attractions.

I thought the food was overall very nice, though the continental breakfast left something to be desired. I enjoyed the other meals we had, but I found the evening meal options to be inconsistent.

The infinity pool was a highlight, offering great views though it was quite cold. The villa’s amenities were nice, but I really appreciated the shuttle service to the nearby Delaire Graff.

7.0/10

My stay at Clouds Estate was absolutely good, with stunning views and a lovely atmosphere. The location is perfect for exploring the surrounding vineyards, and the breakfast setup is just lovely. However, I felt that the service could use some improvement, as there were a few moments of inconsistency that detracted from the overall experience. 🌄

I stayed in a luxurious room with amazing views of the Helshoogte valley and Simonsberg. It was spacious and very comfortable, making it hard to leave. The underfloor heating added a cozy touch too. 😍
Service
7.0
While most staff were friendly and welcoming, there were moments when the service felt a bit disorganized. For example, during breakfast, I noticed that the staff could be a bit slow and distracted. Overall, they were gracious but needed more attention to detail.
Location

The location of Clouds Estate is truly unbeatable, nestled in the mountains with peace and quiet all around. It’s conveniently close to some lovely wine estates, making it ideal for exploration.
Dining

Breakfast was good with a variety of options, though I found some of the lunch and dinner choices to be a bit repetitive over my stay. The food quality overall was good, but it would have been nice to have a wider menu to choose from.
Facilities

The facilities were great, with lovely gardens and a pool area, which looked inviting though I didn’t get the chance to use them. The shuttle service to nearby attractions was also a plus.

5.0/10

My stay at Clouds Estate was overall enjoyable, with stunning panoramic views and comfortable accommodations. The service was friendly, however, there were some hiccups in the dining experience and attention to cleanliness. I appreciated the complimentary treats upon arrival, but there were a few disappointments that held me back from rating it a perfect 10.

Rooms

The room was spacious and comfortable, featuring a relaxing hot tub on the balcony. I really loved the wrap-around deck that offered amazing views in all directions.

The staff were generally warm and accommodating. However, there were some lapses, especially regarding the checkout process and room maintenance.
Location

The setting is absolutely perfect, nestled in the heart of wine country, making it convenient to visit both Stellenbosch and Franschhoek's amazing wineries.
Dining

While the breakfast had good variety and options, I was a bit let down by the quality at times, particularly with the juice not being freshly squeezed as advertised.
Facilities

They offered great amenities like a mini bar and a sweet complimentary bottle of bubbly, but some facilities like room service could use a bit of refinement.

5.4/10

My stay at Clouds Estate was a mix of amazing views and a few service hiccups. The location was perfect, situated near top wine estates, offering stunning vistas from everywhere on the hotel. However, I found the attention to detail lacking at times, especially in service. Overall, it's a wonderful spot for a luxurious getaway, though perhaps not quite a 5-star experience.

Rooms
8.0
I stayed in a spacious villa that was clean and modern, featuring a comfortable layout with a large deck. However, the bed was a bit hard for my liking, and privacy could be better enforced with more landscaping between villas.
Service
7.0
The staff were friendly and well-meaning, though at times they seemed unsure and slow to respond. For instance, my wine tasting experience felt a bit scripted, rather than personal, which detracted from the otherwise enjoyable stay.
Location
10.0
The estate's location is truly ideal, perched between premier wine estates with lovely views of the vineyards and mountains. It’s a great base for exploring the surrounding area, and relaxing with a glass of MCC was just perfect.
Dining
8.0
Breakfast was a highlight, offering a good mix of buffet options and hot dishes made to order, all enjoyed with very nice views. However, I found the lunch and dinner menu somewhat repetitive, making outside dining a necessity.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities were good overall, including a lovely swimming pool area for relaxation. However, I wish there had been better service around the pool for used towels – it felt a bit unkempt at times.

My stay at Clouds Estate was beautiful, with stunning views of the mountains and well-decorated rooms. However, I felt the service could be more polished for a luxury experience. The villas were spacious but had some issues with staff attentiveness and cleanliness during my visit.

Rooms

The villas were spacious and modern with underfloor heating, though smaller bedrooms posed a bit of a challenge.
Service

While some staff were friendly and helpful, overall the service felt a bit inexperienced and less attentive than expected.

Clouds Estate is perfectly situated between stunning wine estates, with amazing mountain views that made my stay nice.
